The South Asian Long Term Care Foundation (Foundation) was registered as a Non-Profit organization under Societies Acts of Alberta in August 2008 also with a non-political and non-sectarian mandate. An application has been made with Canada Revenue Agency for charitable status. Current membership stands at 170 individual members and close to 20 supporting organizations. The Foundations has a board of 14 directors with an executive committee consisting of the President, Secretary, Treasurer and two Vice Presidents.
